We're Like A Song (That Never Ends) by Carey Ott

(Carey Ott - ASCAP 2007)

Come to me
In our old haunt
If it were up to me
I never would’ve left our prison cell

Minutes tick
But she ain’t coming
You know it’s easier to think
Just knowing that now I may see myself

Like a song
We’re like a song
We’re like a song

Get a little drunk
All dressed up
I come to show you love
Now I’m thinking that I wanna fight

You’ve seen this place
A hundred times before
All the fictional nights
And days are just a recent episode

Like a song
We’re like a song
We’re like a song
(That never ends)

Like a song
We’re like a song
We’re like a song
(That never ends)

We’re like the song that never ends

Sometimes you wait
You wait too long
You can’t blame
The girl for all that’s been going wrong

Come to me
In our old haunt
If it were up to me
I never would’ve left our prison cell

I made a vow that I would never write another artist bio. The money is macaroni and cheese money. The artists always complain: "I didn't say that" or "Who wrote this garbage about me" or “Could you pass me that red pen?” As author, you sign your name to your writing and then watch as the record companies "mistakenly" leave the name off. Bottom line, it's not dignified work. So I took my vow. Never again. And I didn't write one for over a year. And then, last week, Carey Ott's Lucid Dream CD came across my desk. This is the bio I’m writing because I have to.
